Introduction
Remora is an open-source remote desktop app written in Rust. Share your ID and password and a partner can see and control your screen, whether they're across the room or across the world. You can also run your own server, so no company sits between you and the computers you manage.
Early preview
Remora is at version 0.1. The core works end to end, but it hasn't had a security audit and is mainly tested on Windows. Don't use it to protect anything critical yet.
Why Remora
What's in the box
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
remora | The desktop app. Every install can both share its screen and control other computers. |
remora-server | The rendezvous server: it maps IDs to devices, helps peers connect directly, and relays traffic when needed. |
remora snapshot | A headless command that grabs one frame from a remote machine, handy for scripts and monitoring. |
